What is Keum-Boo? (pronounced kum-boo) means “attached gold” in Korean. It’s an ancient technique used to bond 24k gold to fine silver through heat and pressure, creating a permanent, luxurious layer of gold that’s much thicker than plating.
What is Gold filled? Also known as Rolled Gold, gold-filled jewellery features a thick, bonded layer of gold (at least 5% of its weight), making it far more durable than gold plating. It offers the look of solid gold at a fraction of the cost while retaining its appearance for years to come.
